IRELE COMMUNITY WILL CHOOSE ITS OWN MONARCH,I WILL NOT INTERFERE,SAYS AIYEDATIWA
The governor of Ondo State and the APC candidate fòr Nov.16th 2024 governorship election,His Execellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has stated that he would not interfere in the selection of a new monarch in Irele,Ondo State.He made the disclosure while addressing the leaders of the ancient community as part of his campaign tour of the Council area,held at the Irele Multi-Purpose Hall and Civic Centre.
He admonished the Kingmakers to do their selection thoroughly and follow due process explaining that whoever the Kingmakers selected will be the King.
The governor stated that he would make the security of the people his major priority, explaining that the construction of Iyansan-Ijagba-Akotogbo-Iju Osun 28kilometers road has began.He promised to operate an all inclusive government while he will condolidate on his previous achievements.He enjoined the residents of the council area to vote for APC,during the forth coming governorship election.
Chief Adeniyi Samson,one of the community leaders,appreciated the governor for regular payment of salary and gratuties and there after assured the governor that the people of the community will vote and stand by him during the governorship polls
Oba Olorunsola Akinyelure,the Odogbo of Omi,who spoke onbehalf of traditional rulers in the area,thanked the governor for making the welfare of Obas in Ondo State,his priority.He assured the governor of their readiness to support him all the time.Also Barr.Remi Olatubora SAN assured the governor of total support and massive vote during the elec tion.
At Iyansan where the governor was conferred with a chieftaincy title of Jagunmolu, the people of the community trooped out enmasse to welcome the him and assured the governor of their unalloyed support.
