BABALOJA AND IYALOJA OF IGBOTU KINGDOM RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS OF IYALOJA-GENERAL OF ONDO STATE
Following the installation of Babaloja and Iyaloja of Igbotu Kingdom by His Royal Majesty Oba Adeniyi Ajayi, the Gbaluwe of Igbotu in Ese-Odo LGA of Ondo State, the duo Chief Ajosanmi Ayeferanmi who is the new Babaloja of Igbotu and Chief(Mrs) Okunnuwa Moyinoluwa who is the new Iyaloja of Igbotu had received blessings and subsequently inducted as bonafide members of National Association of Market Traders in Nigeria by the Ondo State President of the body Princess Adenike Akingboye Aroloye at a well attended ceremony in Idanre, penultimate week.
The Ondo State President declared during the ceremony that their appointments by Gbaluwe of Igbotu is well deserved pointing out that only traditional rulers can install Babalojas and Iyalojas because from the ages past, marketplace belongs to the traditional rulers who are the custodian of Yoruba culture and tradition.
She urged them to be loyal in all things to the Association and help the society at selling their goods and services moderately despite the on going financial challenges and inflation being faced by Nigerians.
Meanwhile,an impersonator who has unilaterally declared herself as the Iyaloja of the ancient community has been arrested by the Law Enforcement Agents and would soon be charged to court.
