The Erelu-Iyaloja of Akure Kingdom Chief/Mrs Adefunmilayo Mercy Adekanye will on 17th of April
2025, unveil a Special Historical Book entitled “THE EYE ERELU IN AKURE KINGDOM dated 1150-2020.
Prior to the unveiling and launching of the very rich cultural and non-fiction historical book,the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ,
Ondo State Council shall decorate the Erelu-Iyaloja of Akure Kingdom as Matron of the Association in an occasion expected to be very colourful as part of activities marking NAWOJ week due for final celebration at NUJ Press Centre in Akure.the Ondo State Capital.
According to a Press release made available to some media practitioners in Ondo State by the Special Assistant to Erelu-Iyaloja of Akure Kingdom on Communications and Media Affairs, Prince ‘Defemi Ojopagogo revealed that the the Deji of Akure Oba (Dr) Aladelusi Ogunlade Aladelusi Odundun 11 shall be the Royal Father of the Day,
while the Alara of Ilara-Mokin Oba Aderemi Adefehinti shall grace the occasion as the Chairman of the Day.
Other dignitaries being expected at the occasion are;the Chairman Akure South LGA Hon Donald Fasua, Chief Ife Adedipe SAN,Dr.Adeleke Adedipe,Chief Adeoye Adedipe, Kabiyesi Oluso of Uso,Chief Ade Ojo Elizade, Senior High Chiefs,

According to the Press Release,the unveiling and launching of the historical book shall be held as soon as ChiefMrs Adefunmilayo Mercy Adekanye is decorated as the NAWOJ’s Matron in Ondo State, same venue same period.
