The Ondo State Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW,Ambassador Ademola Odudu has commended the Ondo State Governor,
His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for taken another giant step to dualize Akure-Idanre road adding that the dualization of the road will bring about rapid development of the area as well as ease transportation.
He made the disclosure while fielding questions from Today’s News Correspondent during the May 1st,2025,May-Day celebration held in Arcade,Akure,the Ondo State Capital.
“The Ondo State Governor is a promise keeper,all the nooks and crannies of Ondo State now enjoy “Odirorun,Odatiwa” Ease Government of the Ondo State helmsman,not only in the area of road construction but in Agriculture
, Education,Health,ICT Training for the Youth, Employment of Teachers,Peace, Security, Sports, Electricity Supply,among several others”, Ambassador Odudu declared.
His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is a workers’ friendly governor,he has never for once joked with the workers salary, welfare and other entitlements as well as regular payment of Pension and Gratuity,he added.
He stated that the peace being enjoyed in the National Union presently is due to the ingenuity of the Governor and the cooperation of all members of the Union in the State. The sixty percent of peace being enjoyed in Ondo State emanated from our National Union,Odudu opined.
“We have highly cerebral individuals in our union,there is no thug among us,we are very responsible members of the society”.he equipped.
He used the occasion.to appeal to members of the public to always come to NURTW parks across Ondo State to board commercial vehicles to their various destinations.He added that,they should not join vehicles on the road side to avoid being robbed,kidnapped or eventually killed.
He explained that people should equally desist from joining unregistered and unpainted taxi cabs because of their security.
“Those that are traveling far or outside the State,must equally fill the Manifest in our designated Motor Parks across Ondo State,it is compulsory they do so”,he posited.
Earlier,he has congratulated the Ondo State Chairman of NLC Com.Olapade ,the work force and other Unions in Ondo State for witnessing another May-Day stating that the day is very significant to the progress of Labour Movement,in Ondo State as well as Nigeria..
