NIGERIA UNSAFE AS UNKNOWN ASSAILANTS ARE AFTER OWO FAMILY
It is no longer a news that so many people were confirmed dead,during an unprovoked church attack in Owo,Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.The memories of the dastard act will continue to re-vibrate in the minds of the the residents of Owo,in several years to come.
However,the family of one Olamehintin who was a victim of the attack,cannot go to bed with their two eyes closed due to precarious security situation they are currently witnessing and devastating incident that led to their father’s
death,because some faceless group believed that their late father kept a whooping amount of money meant for that year’s presidential election,that they are now being threatened upon.
According to a report at the disposal of newsmen,since September,2022,Mr.Olamehinti Najeeb,wife and children’s life has been under threat of attack as they move from one House to the other in the community in order to avoid being killed.
Though,the incident has been reported to the law enforcement Agents,but according to a dependable source,the Law Enforcement Agents have not been able to do anything or at least made an arrest.
However,Mrs Olamehinti Aina Dorcas the Eldest daughter of Mr.Olamehinti has been brutally murdered in Isuada area of Owo as a result of this ugly development.The perpetrators took advantage of the night to carry out their act in this particularly day,when they struck.
According to the source,Mr.Olamehinti Najeeb who was so astonished to see the dead body of his elder sister after returning from the day’s work as he broke down in tears.
He however stated that such incident has been happening since the death of their father,while the family members have been receiving various threatening calls asking them to release money allegedly in possession of their late father,that they knew nothing about.
He therefore,called on the security agencies in that state to come to their rescue with a with a view to preventing unknown people from killing them.
