The Global President of Old Students’ Association Oyemekun Grammar School,Akure,Ondo State Mr.Niyi Ijogun has commended the current Principal of the School,Mr.Adeniyi Oluyide and described him as an enigma.He has track record of achievements in various schools he has served in Ondo State that have fetched him State recognition and various awards.” We are lucky to have him as the Principal Oyemekun Grammar School,Akure.What he has done somewhere else,he would surpass the record in Oyemekun”,Ijogun explained.
He stated that Oyemekun Grammar School Akure will in the nearest future one of the best Secondary Schools in the world interm of academic excellence,skills acquisition,sports and other sphere of human endeavours.
Ijogun stated that there is an ongoing perimeter fencing of the Grammar School as well as CCTV already in place while the Annual General meeting of the old students will take place with a view to electing new executives of the Old Students’ Association of the only school
He commended the Founders of the citadel of learning,past principals,PTA,Staff and Students of the School for maintaining high standard, academic prowess,discipline and cultural value adding that Oyemekun Grammar School is a Primus Inter Pares among secondary Schools in Nigeria
Meanwhile,as part of activities celebrating the 72nd Founders Day, there was School Inter-House Sports Competitions ,Lecture and unveiling of new projects.
Speaking exclusively with Today’s News Correspondent,the Principal of the School,Mr.Adeniyi Oluyide who is also an alumnus of the School, commended the Alumni Association of Oyemekun Grammar,the PTA,Staff and Students of the School for their support all the time pointing out that the high academic excellence that Oyemekun is noted for will continue.
