The Ondo State Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW, Ambassador Ademola Odudu has admonished all the Branch Chairmen of
National Union of Road Transport Workers,Akoko Zone to maintain peace to all the Units under them in the Zone.
He made the revelation today, during the Branch Chairmen swearing in today at the Union Headquarters in Akure.
He appreciated the Zone for their unalloyed support during the last Governorship Election in Ondo State, where the Governor won convincingly and subsequently sworn-in.
“The Governor asked me to thank you in all the Zones of the Union across Ondo State.
You must always be loyal and continuously support the ever performing Governor of Ondo State”,Odudu explained.
He reminded the members of Union to shun act capable of truncating the existing peace in Ondo State.The era of thuggery in the Union has gone for ever.
Drivers are responsible citizens of the society and are actively participating in the growth and development of Ondo State.
Therefore, violence overtaking of any Branch or Unit is highly prohibited.Anyone who does that, will face the consequences of his actions.
He urged them to take care of the leaders of the Union in their Zone, because nobody knows tomorrow.
Odudu advised them to make collection of tickets of the Union their ullmost priority.
