AIYEDATIWA IS OUR ANGEL IN ONDO STATE, WE SHALL SUPPORT HIM SAYS SUNDAY AJAKAYE
The Ondo State Chairman of Vulcanize r Associa,tion of Nigeria Elder Sunday Ajakaye has stated that the Governor of Ondo dState His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa is presently the Angel in Ondo State pointing out that everyone must support him with a view to ensuring that he wins the November Governorship Election.
The Chairman made the disclosure while fielding questions from journalists in Akure yesterday.
He stated that the Governor has done very well since he assumed office as the state helmsman.
In another development, he implored the Ondo State Government led by His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa to support members of his Association through various empowerment of the state government explaining that some of their members have resulted into riding commercial motorcycles due to the fact that they don’t have functional Engines to do their vulcanizing jobs.
” We are prepared to key into any government programme geared towards alleviating the suffering of the masses”, he pointed out.
He urged the youth to come over to learn vulcanizing work, explaining that the work has brighter future than riding commercial motorcycles popularly known as OKADA. In our Association, we have graduates of tertiary institutions who are now doing well on the job quipping that some of the vulcanizers are landlords, vehicles” owners, happily married and sponsoring their children from Primary School to University in and outside Nigeria, he added.
Vulcanizers are very important to the society, without them, no vehicle can move an inch without vehicle tyres properly gaged, hence, such vehicle owners may endangering his or her lives while embarking on a long journey, he affirmed.
He stated that from time to time, he do sensitize members of his Association to always keep away in a safe place damaged tyres in their workshops so that those that always burn tyres during protests will not have access to the damaged tyres for such activities.
That was the reason across Ondo State, no where protesters used damaged tyres in our care to set fire along major roads in the state and non of our members involved themselves in any form of protest, he explained.
He commended the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa for ensuring peace in the state pointing out that the good people of the state boycott the EndBadGovernance protests due to his earlier piece meeting with different stakeholders in across the 18 local government in the state.
He used the occasion to appeal to members of his Association to face their jobs squarely pointing out things will soon change for better in the state.
