EKITI MONARCH SET TO HONOUR PROMINENT NIGERIANS DURING COMMUNITY DAY
The Odooro-Ekiti in Ekiti State will be in a state of estacy on Saturday the 5th of October,2024 when drums and gongs shall be rolled out to celebrate the Community day.
According to a press release made available exclusively to Today’s News by the Chairman Planning Committee Mr.Dare Owolabi,the occasion shall witness launching of five hundred million naira fund raising for the development of the ancient community.
Speaking to Today’s News Correspondent in Ekiti State, the traditional ruler of the serene community, Oba(Barr.) Babatunde Adebayo Jemilehin averred that the Senator representing Ekiti Central in the Senate, Senator Yemi Adaramodu and Engr. Nurudeen Abdulraham Rafindadi shall be honoured with chieftaincy titles amongst others during the ceremony.
He stated that the Olomuo of Omuo-Ekiti Kingdom,His Royal Majesty Oba(Dr.) Noah Adejuwon Omonigbehin is being expected as the Royal Father of the Day while Olori Iyabode Grace Aribisala the Eyesorun-Eyelua Alaaye of Oke Aiyedun-Ekiti is the Mother of the Day.
The ceremony that shall be held at Odooro-Ekiti High School Playing Field shall witness large turnout of prominent Nigerians,indigenes and non-indigenes of the agrarian community including a one time Assistant Comptroller General of Prison (Correctional)ACGC Kehinde Fadipe(rtd),High Chief Bamisaye Omoniyi,the Oloare of Odooro-Ekiti and President General FODU, Worldwide,
Captains of Industries,Top Government Functionaries,Sons and Daughters of the Community Home and Diaspora, Market Traders, Political Office Holders,Traditional Chiefs of the Community and all lovers of good things “AFENIFERES” are all being expected during the Odooro-Ekiti Community Day.
