An International News Magazine both on line and print, Today’s News International has celebrated its Silver Jubilee amidst pomp and thrills in Akure,the Ondo State Capital, penultimate week.
The occasion that witnessed Lecture, Cultural Display, Education Display by the students of Citadel International College Ikare- Akoko,good will messages by the Honourees,etc recorded a huge success as dignatories from all walks of life graced the occasion in large numbers.
The Publisher of the Magazine appreciated God Almighty for giving him the grace to celebrate the Silver Jubilee describing Newspaper publication as very herculean and not for the faint hearted.
He called on the media practitioners in Nigeria,to diversify and add value to their job,shun Gorilla type of Journalism,cross check their facts before rushing to the Press,stop blackmailing as well as fish out impostors in the noble profession.
Receiving his award of Icon of Excellence during the occasion,the Permanent Secretary,Ondo State Public Service Training Institute,Ilara-Mokin,Dr.Olumide Asere described his award as a welcome development.” For the media to notice what one is doing and fish him/her out for a recognition, means a lot”,Dr.Asere Olumide declared.
He commended the organizers of the event for finding him worthy to be so honoured.
“Though,am a civil servant,I will personally contribute my quota to the development of Today’s News International Magazine,” he pointed out.
He appreciated all and sundry that came from far and near to celebrate and rejoice with him promising that,he will not let them down in the cause of performing his official and non official duties.
