A one time President of Isoko Development Union from (2005-2008),Ondo State Council Mr.Monday Akata has mobilized all the good people of Isoko residing in Ondo State to come out en-masse on Saturday 2nd of May,2026 for the first Isoko Day where those that have distinguished themselves in their various fields of human endeavours among them shall be appreciated and honoured.
The former helmsman of Isoko Development Union made the disclosure while fielding questions from Journalists in Akure,the Ondo State Capital, penultimate week.
He averred that, during the occasion, there will be launching of a 20million Naira Secretariat building Project and appeal to members to donate generously towards the actualization of the Secretariat building Project.
He stated that plans are underway to register new members and Clans.
Isoko people are mostly farmers who have lived in Ondo State for the past seven decades, they have contributed in no small measures to the uplifting of Agroeconomy of Ondo State.
He pointed out that the Isokos deserved to be recognized by the Ondo State Government if their various contributions to the development of the State is anything to go by.
Meanwhile,one of the Youth Leaders of I.D.U in Ondo simply identified as Prince Ogheneofo has called on all the Youth of the Union to attend in large numbers, the first Annual Anniversary and Launching of the 20 million Naira Secretariat building Project of the body on Saturday.
He admonished them to get ready to support maximumly towards the upliftment of the Union in Ondo State.
“We should be the first people to be at the venue of the celebration as well as contribute our quota towards moving the Union forward,he posited.
